The town of Colchester is served by the Colchester School District, which has approximately 2,200 students. In addition to Colchester residents, tuition students are accepted from the Islands (Grand Isle, North Hero, and South Hero) and other districts.
The district operates five separate school buildings and an administrative building. We employ about two hundred teachers and fifteen administrators.
Our school district is renowned for its implementation of differentiated instruction as part of its efforts to provide all students with meaningful and appropriate educational opportunities. Colchester High School graduates attend a wide range of colleges and universities throughout the state and country.
The Colchester School district is located in beautiful Colchester, Vermont. Together, our schools create a district that is a fair and welcoming community of life-long learners, striving to do our best, and who think not only what is — but what can be.
