CHS e-Sports Club
About the CHS e-Sports Club
The CHS E-Sports Club is a dynamic group of high school gamers who come together to compete in popular game titles such as Super Smash Bros, Splatoon, and Mario Kart. We offer a welcoming environment for both casual and competitive players - our focus is on fostering teamwork, strategy, and sportsmanship.
The PlayVS Platform
We play on PlayVS which is the nation's largest E-Sports platform. Through PlayVS we compete against other schools along the east coast in two leagues per year: Fall and Spring.
Benefits of PlayVS
- Team management: Schools can use PlayVS to build and manage teams, check schedules, and track match stats.
- Safety and privacy: PlayVS has a zero-tolerance policy for toxic behavior and verified staff members moderate all matches.
- Real-time support: PlayVS offers real-time human support for coaches and students.
- Scholarship opportunities: PlayVS has paid out over $1 million in scholarships and prizing.
The 2024 Fall Season
We have Super Smash Bros and Splatoon teams enrolled for the Fall 2024 season with openings. We plan to expand our team offerings in the Spring with titles like Rocket League, Mario Kart and Chess as possibilities. If you're interested in competing, helping with the club in some way, or just getting to know some of your gaming peers, please reach out!
